“How Well Do You Know Your Neighbours?”  Kent Coast Theatre (KCT) is delighted to announce that this year’s production will be a dark comedy by writer, Stephen Condor.  Set at a garden party, ‘R.S.V.P.’ features a selection of weird and wonderful characters who make up the neighbourhood.

“It’s the Hostess’ event of the year and everything seems to be going smoothly, until an uninvited guest causes friction and drama.”  Writer and Co-Director Stephen continues, “I’ve always been fascinated by overheard conversations and the dark secrets we keep, and this inspired this new play.  I’m sure everyone will find a character that they’ve met before, and some they’ll wish they hadn’t!”

Artistic Director and Producer for KCT Lou Fowkes said, “I’m passionate about getting our theatre out into our community, so I’m especially excited by our latest production, which not only champions local writing but also performing, as we are taking the play out into the open air as well as to a more traditional indoor theatre setting.  Best of all, it’s provocative, hilarious and lots of fun!”

Founded in 2015 and based at The Horsebridge Arts & Community Centre in Whitstable, KCT is a non-profit, community theatre company which continues to champion new writing, challenge and re-work traditional plays, perform in interesting spaces and offer actors the chance to perform in a professional environment, working to a high level of expertise, with advice, support and guidance.

‘R.S.V.P.’ takes place at 2.30pm and 6.30pm on Saturday 15 June at Whitstable Castle Tea Gardens (Open Air).  The production then moves to The Arden Theatre in Faversham from Wednesday 19 – Saturday 22 June with performances at 7.30pm.  Tickets, priced from £10.50, go on sale on Monday 4 March at www.wegottickets.com
